BREAKING | PRESIDENT DUTERTE SIGNS LAW STRENGTHENING THE SK REFORM ACT OF 2015

President Rodrigo Duterte has signed Republic Act No. 11768, the law strengthening the Sangguniang Kabataan and providing amendments to certain provisions of the SK Reform Act of 2015.
RA No. 11768 will institutionalize additional reforms to empower the SK in fulfilling their mandates as youth public servants, by providing them more benefits and privileges.
With this law, all SK officials will be entitled to a monthly honorarium, not exceeding 25% of the SK Funds, and shall not be more than the compensation received by the SK Chairperson.
RA 11768 also highlights human rights and gender equality as one of the advocacies that the SK should focus on.
